This is the reason why we should always take time to reflect on our actions regarding AIDS Competence and what we know, what we want to learn and where we want to go:
"It's hard to share knowledge if you don't have enough time to reflect on what you know or what you need to learn. Most companies have squeezed almost all of the reflection time out of their business processes."
--John Old, knowledge manager, Texaco
Action alone is not sufficient. Being busy "solving" the AIDS "problem" will not bring us very far. It is when we reflect on what we have achieved, what we know and what strengths we have that we can build on a strong foundation to respond to HIV/AIDS.
